They rallied to reject a number of bills in front of the Indonesian Parliament Complex which led to clashes. The area was full and crowded due to a sea of students and a number of elements of the public took to the streets criticizing the steps of the Indonesian Parliament towards a number of bills that were considered problematic, such as the Criminal Code Bill, the Land Bill, and the KPK Bill which had been passed a while ago.
